Hurricane Romance
2020 just seems to continue to rock our world, and not in the best way. But love still seems to shine in the darkness, reminding us that it's not all bad. Meet Erin and Rene! We chatted on the phone about her desire to have an intimate, private wedding. A micro wedding if you will. Their desire as a couple wasn't to have a large, fancy wedding. They had both previously been married. Not to mention, their original date and plans had to change due to Corona. She chose to have a few friends and immediate family be present for their sweet nuptials.
Little did we all know, a hurricane, (Laura) would come through Louisiana just 2 days before her wedding, and cause major damage to our surrounding region. But, since there was no structural issues with her venue, Woodlawn Chapel (absolutely adorable, rustic charm), she decided to proceed as planned. But without any power! Instead of an indoor ceremony and dinner, they held the sweetest ceremony on the front porch. It was perfect! Simple, sweet, and full of love! Their smiles and gentle embraces made this mini wedding a delight in the midst of all the chaos.
